I wanna go to the show!

Why does the Metric and The Stills shows in October have to be sold out already? WHY? In less then 24 hours, the 2nd show had only one ticket left when my friend Jessica and I went to buy tickets....just great. I guess you really do need a credit card to get what you want these days. fuck i'm pissed. here's hoping there's gonna be a 3rd show and i can score two tix to it....I really wanna see these bands...i haven't had a chance to see either yet and I'm dying to. Especially excited to see The Stills, been listening to them like crazy lately...Oceans Will Rise is an awesome album by them...check it. gotta love that Canadian rock...we seem to do it so well.

Concerts make me happy

Last night i saw 3 pretty awesome bands play at the Phoenix, in Toronto. I didn't know much about 2 of the bands playing (Constantines and The Weakerthans), so i didn't know what to expect really. The other band that played is one my most favorite bands, The Waking Eyes, who I've seen a bunch of times so i always know they will rock their set. I was really impressed with the Constantines performance, i definitely left the show a new fan of theirs. The Weakerthans put on a good show too, and it was sad to hear some dumb ass and probably drunk, moron, yell "you suck!" during their set. So uncalled for. The 3 of the bands together, just fit together so well musically...a really good lineup. I hope they all get together again and do another tour like that in the future.

The only thing that sucked was the fact that The Waking Eyes set was so short compared to the others...but i know that's because they weren't the headliner of the show...but they still deserved more time...i was really enjoying it lol Another good thing about last night, 2 friends i went with who don't normally listening to that type of music, left fans of The Waking Eyes and Constantines, which made me really happy.

I guess the next time i'll see The Waking Eyes is in June for Edgefest '09...can't wait...it's gonna be a great lineup of mostly Canadian bands this year. Really looking forward to it.

DVD Box Sets=No Sleep

In the span of 2 weeks i watched 5 Seasons (105 episodes) of my fave show Alias.......i'm in love with this show..i wish it stayed on t.v. longer than just 5 seasons though, but i guess it's a good thing in away because i would have had another week of messed up sleep haha SOOO WORTH IT THOUGH! I love all the action and seeing a girl kicking some ass...AWESOME! Jennifer Garner is so very wicked in this show...the whole cast...over the 5 seasons was excellent. J.J Abrams is one talented dude, he's the creator by the way, he has created some wicked t.v. shows including Lost and a new fave of mine Fringe.

Long live Sydney Bristow!!

I thinking my next box set marathon will be watching all ten episodes of the miniseries Band of Brothers. If you haven't heard of it, check it out. A story of war and the challenges of being a solider in a world war.....amazing...some scenes seemed so real, it was hard to watch. An amazing story.

Must find more dvds to watch....
